I think it's Liang because he made the rich man stay in the drawing that he drew. He did this because the rich man didn't say to Liang that he will come back and be the richest man.
I think Liang is smarter then the rich man because Liang tricked the rich man by telling that he is going to a island with a golden tree and he didn't bring the rich man back.
Liangn was so much smarter for not became rich just making his stuff that he needs to live for and the rich man was thinking about money and not the paintbrish if he were he will be more smarter
